Services
We use iZotope RX 6 as our primary tool for restoration work. This typically is used for reducing background noise and hum, removing pops and clicks, and reducing any other unwanted sounds that may be masking the primary audio signal. Additionally, we have the iZotope Music Production Suite, Native Instruments Reaktor, and a wide variety of other plugins for use when the need arises.
Depending on your needs, we can simple remove noise from a recording, or zoom in on a microscopic level to fully clean your audio of hiss, pops, clicks, and other detrimental sounds masking the important elements in the recording. We can even take a recording session, and clean individual tracks prior to the mixing and mastering stages.
Please contact us so we can further discuss your audio issues, and provide you with our professional restoration services.
Our primary DAW is Ableton Live 10 Suite. If your recordings are from another DAW, ideally we suggest exporting all multitracks from your recording sessions if you are seeking mixing services, or exporting stems if this is not feasible. Additionally, the higher your recordings' sample rate and bit depth will provide for a higher definition mix.
For mastering, the same rules apply. We suggest you provide us with a stereo, 96/24 WAV file (or higher) if you are not seeking mixing services, and to leave at least 3 dB of headroom for proper mastering services.
If you are would like to employ our recording services, we offer a variety of options. Primarily, we provide in house overdubs of instruments you yourself are unable to play. This includes electric/acoustic guitar, electric bass, piano, and banjo, as well as playing and/or programming synthesizer and sampler parts for your music. Additionally, we can bring you in to our studio to record vocals or instruments your are unable to record elsewhere.
Furthermore, the majority of our equipment can be used for onsite recording. For location recording, we ask you to please contact us so we can discuss your needs.
Additionally, we have a variety of software synthesizers and effects from Ableton, AudioThing, Cakewalk, Eventide, Focusrite, iZotope, Korg, Moog, Native Instruments, Softube, SoundToys, and more. Other equipment includes sound absorbtion panels, midi controllers, audio patchbays, various noisemakers, multiple sets of headphones, a slew of cables and power sources, and many other odds and ends.
